Angling on the Blackwater:

The renowned River Blackwater offers endless hours of pleasure to the visiting angler whether accomplished or novice. Rising along the Cork and Kerry border, its clear waters meander for 110km/70 miles in an easterly direction, finally entering the sea at Youghal Bay.

The Blackwater is a noted Salmon Fishery offering impressive Spring, Summer Grilse and Autumn Salmon fishing, predominately for Fly Fishers.

The tributaries of the Blackwater are havens for Trout Fishing, with the River Bride having a run of Sea Trout as well as Brown Trout.
